Reconstruction of Horizontal Air Showers with AERA(pdf)

Currently, the Pierre Auger Observatorium is the largest observatorium for the detection of cosmic rays. Different methods are used to measure the extensive air shower at ground and the development in the atmosphere. With the Auger Engineering Radio Array (AERA) we can measuer the emitted radio signal and reconstruct the cosmic ray particle. This is especially interesting for horizontal air showers with zenith angles larger than 60°, which have been measured by AERA. Combining the radio detection with the surface detector of the Pierre Auger Observatoium allows to search for interessting physics like neutrino induced air shower and composition analysis. In this talk a standard reconstruction for horizontal air showers and basic properties of the reconstructed events are presented.
