Identification of Potential Blazar Candidates among Fermi LAT unidentified Sources
The 3FGL catalogue shows that 57% of sources detected by LAT are associated to known blazars. However, ~30% are unassociated to known source. Our study aims to find in the SEDs a signature of blazars in the error box of unidentified Fermi gamma-ray source. A sample of 13 sources in 3FGL observed by Fermi-LAT located above the galactic plane (i.e.|b|>10 deg), having only one Swift-XRT detection and a single radio source in the Fermi uncertainty ellipses was selected . Fermi-LAT photons of the same epoch as Swift observations were selected. Fluxes were extracted using the standard Tools and we modeled the SEDs of the selected sources using log parabolic model. The result suggest that 13 sources show the SSC signature in their SEDs. Their synchrotron emission peak in low frequencies (IR-Optical) and their inverse Compton emission peak in gamma-ray. 10 sources (77%) are LSP while 3 (23%) are ISP. Swift is potentially useful to isolate blazars in the Unidentified Fermi-LAT sources.
